Martin was Director of Music at one of Oxford's famous College Chapels. He was also director of music at All Saint's Church in Tooting, with one of the finest organs and acoustics in London. He currently runs music at St Paul's church in the heart of Brighton.

Martin is the Provincial Grand Organist for the The Provincial Grand Lodge of Sussex Master Mark Masons. He plays the organ for Mark, Craft, Royal Arch and RAM meetings, accompanying the ritual with serious and more light hearted music.
